Researchers from MARE in top positions in the ranking of ecology and evolution

There are eight researchers from MARE in the Research.com world ranking of Ecology and Evolution. In terms of national ranking, the researchers, starting in second place, are: João Carlos Marques (2nd), Manuel Graça (8th), Rui Rosa (17th), João M. Neto (29th), Jaime A. Ramos (30th), José C. Xavier (36th), Verónica Ferreira (40th) and MARE Director Pedro R. Almeida (44th).

 

In terms of international ranking: João Carlos Marques (677) with a D-Index of 72 and 63722 citations; Manuel Graça  (1832) with a D-Index of 55 and 10263 citations; Rui Rosa (3038) with a D-Index of 44 and 6349 citations; João M. Neto (4340) with a D-Index of 37 and 5208 citations; Jaime A. Ramos (4343) with a D-Index of 37 and 5144 citations; José C. Xavier (5297) with a D-Index of 33 and 4892 citations; Verónica Ferreira (5502) with a D-Index of 32 and 49977 citations and MARE Diretor Pedro R. Almeida 5811) with a D-Index of 30 and 3162 citations.

 

The ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which includes only citation values and papers in a particular area. The ranking includes only leading scientists with a D-Index of at least 30 for academic publications in the area of Ecology and Evolution, thus measuring the production of scientific research.

It should be noted that researcher Henrique Cabral, in 3rd place in the national ranking, was also from MARE and served as Director.
