MARE - Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre is a centre for research, technological development and innovation, integrating eight Regional Research Units at the University of Coimbra, Polytechnic of Leiria, University of Lisbon, ISPA, NOVA University of Lisbon, Institute Polytechnic of Setúbal,University of Évora and ARDITI/University of Madeira.
MARE has an integrative and holistic approach, combining skills on all type of aquatic ecosystems, approaching river basins, estuaries and Coastal Systems and also the Ocean. The researchers are organised in 2 ecosystem-oriented Research Domains and 7 Research Thematic Lines as cross cutting issues of the research domains.
