Activity summary

Mário Miguel Mendes is a Portuguese palaeobotanist with a long experience in palaeobotanical and palynological studies. He received his PhD degree in Geosciences in 2011. Currently, he is a senior researcher at MARE / ARNET - University of Coimbra, Portugal. He is author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications and conference papers. His main research interests are: history of angiosperms evolution, with an emphasis on reproductive biology, phylogeny and palaeoecology.
