Activity summary

I am a PhD student in Biosciences at the University of Coimbra, Department of Life Sciences. I am currently conducting my research at MARE, at both the Polytechnic of Leiria and the University of Coimbra. My research focuses on red seaweed, particularly their taxonomy, cultivation techniques, nutritional profile, pigment composition, and bioactive properties. Outside my core research, I like to learn about the role of seaweed in history, art and mythology.
