Activity summary

My research focuses on biological processes in Antarctic ecosystems, physiological ecology of phytoplankton, the Antarctic food web, and the HPLC-based determination of photosynthetic pigments. I am also interested in biogeochemical studies, particularly in understanding air-sea CO₂ fluxes and the role of phytoplankton in global carbon cycling. One of the coordinators of the High Latitude Oceanography Group (GOAL) at FURG (Brazil), and member of the WAPSA Leadership Group of the SOOS.
