Activity summary

Curator of Vertebrates of the Funchal Natural History Museum. Specialised in deep-sea fish taxonomy, in particular from hydrothermal vent environments, took part in numerous research cruises, submersible dives and international symposia with papers published in particular on fish, crustacean and seabirds, describing new species to Madeira and to science.
