Carina Félix is a researcher in the biotechnology field working at Cetemares, Polytechnic of Leiria. Currently studying bioactive compounds of invasive seaweeds and their possible applications in different industries, from cosmetic to agriculture. Her main focus is, however, to find new, safer and more sustainable solutions against phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria. Holds a PhD in biology, specialization in microbiology with experience in multi-omics functional analyses, by University of Aveiro
