The objective is to create a system of alert for overtopping and flooding in coastal and port areas involving: the use of satellite imagery for the characterization of waves and flooded areas; the integrations of systems of video-monitoring for characterization of waves, overtopping and flooded areas; the use of physical models to validate numerical models; the use of numerical models to simulate overtopping and flooding, the implementation of methodologies for quantitative assessment of the consequences and risks, and activation of emergency plans, the use of WebGIS platform to ensure interactivity of the user with the system.
