As part of the actions associated with European Maritime Day, NOVA FCT's MARE Ocean Literacy Observatory invites the community to come to Banática (Almada) for a different afternoon!
Let's discover the hidden Tagus and recite poetry to the river. Join us for an afternoon spent (re)getting to know Banática, on June 20th at 6pm!

The European Maritime Day events aim to raise awareness of the importance of the oceans and seas and to involve the public, particularly young people.
The aim is for people to realize that activities at sea (coastal tourism, fishing, sailing, maritime transport, offshore renewable energy, aquaculture, etc.) are essential for EU citizens and economies.
The "In My Country" European Maritime Day events are the public strand of the European Maritime Day, during which the European maritime community is invited to network, debate and define actions on maritime issues. Since the first edition in 2018, the number of European Maritime Day "In My Country" events has increased significantly, with a wide range of activities such as beach clean-ups, guided tours, art exhibitions, workshops and conferences.
