Seminar | A camarinha em Caminha e na Galiza

The Seminar “Camarinha in Caminha and Galicia”, which will take place on 28 March 2026 at the Auditorium of the Municipal Museum of Caminha, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, is co-organised by the COREMA Association and the researcher Alexandra Abreu Lima, from MARE/ARNET at INIAV, and is supported by the Municipality of Caminha.

During the morning, a lecture session will be held featuring Portuguese and Galician speakers, who will address the history of the protection of camarinha in Caminha, the importance of the Mata do Camarido, present results from the Emc2 Project (MARE), and discuss other aspects of the conservation of camarinha in Caminha and Galicia.

In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the Mata do Camarido, where camarinha plants were reintroduced in the autumn of 2025.
