Abstract: 

Aquatropolis project focuses on the sustainable development of different scales aquaculture of the Atlantic Basin countries. Through a road map for technological development, using the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) concept applied to the intelligent management and control tools of aquaculture production, the project intends to promote the democratization of state-of-the-art technologies in the sector. It is their objective to guarantee that the majority of the Iberian aquaculture business sector access technological resources for operations optimization and risks and uncertainties reduction. This will increase financial return guarantees to producers and simultaneously the products quality and food safety standards.
