CEEC Individual 2025 (8th edition, FCT)

We are looking for motivated researchers (national or international) interested in developing their research around aquatic ecosystems! 

With the planned opening of the Individual Competition for the Promotion of Scientific Employment (CEEC Individual 2025) by FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology, scheduled for the last quarter of 2025, MARE invites potential candidates to submit an expression of interest to participate in this competition with our center as the host institution.

To this end, we offer a selection of competitive research topics, proposed by our research groups, to support applications of excellence.

How to participate
• Consult the available research topics HERE;
• Choose the topic you most identify with;
• Send your application by September 15, 2025, to mare@mare-centre.pt, with the subject: “Call for Candidates CEECInd25”

 

Your application must include:
• A letter of motivation, indicating the ID and title of the chosen topic;
• A detailed Curriculum Vitae and/or your CiênciaVitae;
• Academic qualifications (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, etc.);
• Other documents you consider relevant to enhance your application.
 

Please note that internal selection at MARE does not guarantee submission of the application to FCT. All expressions of interest will be carefully reviewed, and the final decision rests with the coordinators of the proposed topics.

Selection by MARE also does not guarantee direct hiring. Only candidates who are successful in their application to CEEC Individual 2025 will have access to a scientific employment contract.
