My main areas of interest in marine biology research are:
- Patterns of distribution and abundance of rocky intertidal communities and physical factors and biological processes that influence these patterns;
- Marine pollution and impacts of harbour activities in rocky subtidal and intertidal communities and in sediment;
- Population dynamics and sustainable exploitation of invertebrates in marine protected areas.
