Activity summary

Her research addresses the problem of water contamination with pharmaceuticals. She's been mostly dedicated to optimize Constructed Wetlands Systems (CWS) for pharmaceuticals removal from contaminated water, through selection of plant species and inexpensive support materials that contribute to the pollutants removal and thus enhance the efficiency of such systems. An understanding of molecular interactions between CWS components is pursued as to guide an educated selection of materials to use.
