Activity summary

I finished my degree in Marine Biology and Biotechnology – Aquaculture and Fisheries in Peniche in 2010, followed by a MSc degree in 2012 in Marine Ecology and a PhD degree in 2018 in Marine Sciences, both at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. I have focused my research on the impact of climate change and contamination on the oxidative stress response of marine organisms focusing on single and transgenerational studies. Since October 2019 I am a post-doc researcher at MARE-ISPA

Highlights

Absence of cellular damage in tropical newly hatched sharks (Chiloscyllium plagiosum) under ocean acidification conditions. Physiological resilience of a temperate soft coral to ocean warming and acidification.
