Research areas: solid waste management (SWM), planning, policy, waste streams, psychology applied to recycling, marine litter, environmental education. It is in these areas that has developed research projects and published papers. She is author of the well-known books “Manual Prático para a Gestão de Resíduos”, “Gestão de Resíduos” and “Sustainable solid waste collection and management”
